295 Bowery - Former Site of McGurk's Suicide Hall

Once the home of fabled Bowery establishment renowned for death and depravity. The name "Suicide Bar" stuck after a few prostitutes slew themselves here messily (jumped from the roof? Not sure). In any event, it stood ominously for a long, long time after its grim heyday, sort've like a haunted house. No more, though.
