Yaffa Cafe
St.Mark's Place, East Village
This painted wall on St.Mark's Place advertises the adjoining restaurant, the Yaffa Cafe. To see this sign, one might think the establishment in question is a hip, happening spot, when it's actually kind of mundane. I mean, it's okay, but in no way does it match the screaming fabulousness of its 80's-era sign. I interviewed Blur here once, circa Modern Life is Rubbish. Whoopee!
