The building in the foreground used to be the site of the Rock Lounge and Shine (and -- I think -- the TriBeCa Rock Club, if that's what they called it). Not sure what goes on there now, actually. The building behind it is the magnificent telephone building, which sprouts up from TriBeCa like a giant monolith or vast, imposing brown robot.
