That is one of THEE coolest clips of the E. Village I have seen to date. Look who's on the marquee at the Fillmore...The Mothers(!) plus Buddy Miles and CTA (Chicago in their early progressive days). Looking at the FE concert archive from that month the coming weeks had Ten Years After, CCR, Julie Driscoll/Brian Auger and The Chambers Brothers. Right around the corner was the Electric Circus. February '69?...shit, they probably had amazing stuff going on there as well. I wish there were more photos out there on that place. For being such a spot of mythical 60s stature it's seriously underdocumented.

What a great time to be in NYC and the East Village. Unfortunately I was barely 3 years old and living in Jersey. No rock shows for me :(


This is great. Would love to see what that deli/restaurant with the neon beer signs was like inside.
