Chances are that if you’re aware of Nick Cave at all, you’re probably already reading his ruminations in The Red Hand Files, a richly composed dialogue between the great man and his fans.
Now up to its fifty-seventh entry -– a disarmingly candid account of his break up with Polly Harvey -– The Red Hand Files finds Cave speaking thoughtfully and eloquently on myriad subjects, from the banal to the ridiculous to the poignant and all ports in between.
Even if you’re not an avid appreciator of his music -– although you damn well should be –- these entries make for some excellent reading.
