I’ve written here a couple of times about the mighty Butthole Surfers – notably here and here – and how witnessing their live show at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio on a stop on their 1987 tour for Locust Abortion Technician was something of an indelible experience. I’d posted videos of their 1986 iteration at CBGB and Danceteria here in NYC, but someone recently uploaded a full show from the `87 tour -– recorded in Atlanta, GA –- that really captures the bug-eyed insanity and sensory-engulfing mayhem of that 1987 tour.
To say that it is not for the faint of heart or easily offended is a heroic understatement.
Don’t say you weren’t warned.
