fairly certain this is the corner of Chrystie and Grand. Not sure what the masked passenger is all about though.

Yeah, actually it is that corner of Chrystie and Grand. Yesterday I spent about 20 min trying to make some comparisons but didn't find anything. I guess the thing that threw me off is the concrete building in center back of the photo. Looking at the corner now it appears that several floors have been added to it. Alot of the facades on the left of the photo have also been altered as well, but 51 years later of course they would be. Looks like a pretty deserted part of town back in those days. The late 60s in NYC must've been nuts!!
