I was in Park Slope over the weekend, and was struck by all the "I'm With Her" placards still affixed to the facades of people's homes, front windows and stoops.

For a moment, I felt encouraged. I felt that maybe these defiant Brooklynites believe there's still a chance that maybe the Electoral College will do the right thing or that maybe an investigation into the Russian hacking will upend Trump's looming inauguration.

Then, I noticed they all still had their Halloween shit up as well, and realized that they're not so much defiant as lazy.
