Hey all. It's turning out to be a very busy week for me, so I'm not sure how much stuff I'll be able to put up in the next couple of days, but I just randomly stumbled across this and it's too bizarre not to share. Herewith -- yet again -- the Beastie Boys. This dates back to approximately 1983. Drummer Kate Schellenbach -- later of Luscious Jackson -- is still in their ranks as they perform at the long-lost Kitchen which, at the time, was situated in SoHo at 59 Wooster Street.
About two minutes and eight seconds into it, they break into a not-especially-well-rehearsed cover of "Cum on Feel the Noize" by Slade (made more famous that year by Quiet Riot's version).
Technically, the photograph at the top of this post was taken a few years after the video below was shot, but I'm including it because Mike D is depicted wearing a Motorhead shirt, ... which is nice.
