If you waste enough time on YouTube, you're bound to stumble across something like this after a while. At the risk of courting further accusations that I'm fetishizing the past, herewith another fleeting glimpse of "NYC `80s," artily shot by someone with a Super8 camera at some indeterminate point during the decade in question. If you can tolerate the willfully wanky, aimless jazz noodling of the soundtrack, you'll be treated to ten plus minutes of gritty footage of the Bowery, Chinatown, Houston Street, West Broadway, Waverly, Astor Place, The Cat Club and more.
The appended text says it's "some random Super8 footage from the streets of NYC on the way to a Robert Williams Exhibition at the Psychedelic Solution Gallery."
