When I composed my list of Christmas songs that don't suck from giant tube of rancid eggnog last week, I thought about including this curious little find, but wisely demurred, being that the band in question is probably just a little too far left-field for the TODAY.com demographic.
In any event, herewith local legends, the idiosyncratic hardcore band Letch Patrol delivering their peculiar interpretation of the hackneyed Christmas warhorse, "Little Drummer Boy" at CBGB. Joyeux Noel.
As an added gift -- a Christmas bonus, if you will -- here's the similarly-inclined Iron Prostate dusting off that old holiday favorite, "Bring Me the Head of Jerry Garcia," also at CB's. Hardcore-heads will doubtlessly recognize MAXIMUMROCKNROLL's Tim Yohannon (r.i.p.) in the intro. Enjoy.
