Worked with David in the 90's. A cool, down to earth gent.
Last year I met Joe Jackson a few days after meeting Stevie Wonder. Stevie very nice, allowed a photo op whereas Joe Jackson was a complete wanker.

James Taylor

Daivid Bowie reads Uncut magazine?

Alex in NYC

He probably picked it up for the disc of Dylan covers.

Met him on the street in England in 1972 - Ziggy era. He was very nice to an overwhelmed, star-struck 13 year old. Not sure I've ever recovered!

Helped with some of the publicity for David's first show in US in Cleveland for WMMS.....didn't know WHAT to expect....WHOLE band were pretty normally freaky cool, and musically they ABSOLUTELY killed ....opened with three-song no break medley ending with Suffragette City.....the crowd were ACTUALLY STUNNED into silence for about a 4-count, with Ronson lookin' at Bowie for a split-second like "oh-oh....we blew it'.....but audience ERUPTED out of their seats and gave them a 5-minute long standing "O".....BIG grins all-around and they proceeded to shred our minds for another hour and a half.
And, yes, it's CERTAINLY his right to not tour or seek the spotlight, but as one of THE most creative minds in the biz, I sure wish he'd get back in the studio and just crank some shit out.....miss him, that's all :+)
