Greg

Not sure that they actually played there though. I checked the book KISS Alive Forever which details all of their concert appearances up through the reunion and there is no mention of a show at the Blarney Rose.

This particular KISS photo taken October 26, 1974 was actually one of the last in a series Bob Gruen was doing for a CREEM magazine spread. The series of photos starts out with KISS in dress suits at West 23rd & 8th Ave (these shots ended up being used for their "Dressed To Kill" LP cover) and then they proceeded to take more photos of the band in the subway station at West 14th & 8th where they did a series of photos where the band was shown entering a phone booth in dress clothes (Clark Kent / Superman style) and exiting in their full KISS costumes and make-up. Then seen exiting subway and various shots taken along 8th Avenue.

The implication was never made that KISS played the Blarney Stone, or that KISS even *entered* the Blarney Stone (well, Ace certainly might've), but rather simply that they were photographed IN FRONT of the Blarney Stone.
