I could have sworn I'd posted this some time back, but found no record of it, so here it is. This is a quick spot on Flaming Pablum favorite Robyn Hitchcock walking the streets of downtown Manhattan that MTV cut circa 1990. As with most clips I post here, even if you're not a fan of the artist in question (and if you're not, you should be), you might enjoy the fleeting footage of an endearingly decrepit, flyer-plastered St. Marks Place and Washington Square.

This is what I tell all my out-of-town friends living in New York is like all the time. "Yeah, you bump into Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson so often it gets boring, while Robyn Hitchcock strolls the block serenading random passersby. Hey look, it's David Byrne polishing one of his bike racks! Hey there, David!" I just hope they believe me and hate my guts for it.
