As my pal EV Grieve recently reported, the rock photography gallery that was Morrison Hotel which took up residence in the former footprint of CB's 313 Gallery (which, for years prior to that, was the Capitol Silver Co.), has closed up shop and moved on, now replaced by a clothing store called Rift. Unfortunately, its neighbor to the immediate north, John Varvatos, shows zero sign of moving thus far. Not that it really matters anymore, I guess.
In any case, for those who still pine for the Bowery of yore, my friend Drew unearthed the clip below yesterday which you might find solace in. In all honesty, I was never a fan of the Crumbsuckers. Sure, they were NYHC, but I never considered them more than c-listers at best. They were just too mookish for my taste (not that mookishness was exactly in small supply around the NYHC scene). To be fair, they are better than I remember them, but I'm more enthused about the video below for capturing the era. I'm guessing, but this was probably filmed between `86 and `88.
Enjoy.
