In unfortunate news of sorts, it seems that old school punks are falling on hard financial times, and turning to the `Net to generate funds. First came word that Mike Coles, the design brainpower behind British indie label Malicious Damage, was auctioning off the original artwork of Killing Joke's seismic debut album (featuring a photograph of a gas attack in Northern Ireland shot by Don McCullin). Then, my colleague Drew spotted a serious of items up for grabs by former Black Flag bassist Chuck Dukowski, notably some rare vinyl test pressings. Lastly, it seems venerable ex-Damned drummer Rat Scabies is pawning off his old Marshall stack.
For what it's worth, I made an early bid on the `Joke cover, but the bidding swiftly eclipsed my ceiling (which is just as well, really), but why not help out and do some bidding? Get in there.
