I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the feedback I've been getting since starting the Then & Now series. The last installment especially started off a bit of a brush fire. In any event, I'm expecting you all to draw your own conclusions from these pictures. While I may have my own feelings on the matter, I'm not trying to bludgeon you over the head with them. Regardless of your stance, I'd still suggest that the visual disparity from -- in many instances -- only a handful of years ago and today can often be striking, and that's what I've found interesting about this project. I still have tons I want to do, as well.
Yesterday was a dreary overcast Saturday, so I slipped out for an hour, dialed up Rum, Sodomy & The Lash by the Pogues on my iPod and captured a sizable chunk of Noho & Soho. Look for the edition devoted to the western side of Broadway coming soon.
