I just wanted to send a quick word of thanks to Bryan, Cyrus, Sukhdev and the rest of the Lost New York organizers for yesterday's "Blogging the Apocalypse" panel. While I'd certainly fielded a bit of pre-conference jitters, the overall experience was enlightening and hugely enjoyable. It was great fun meeting the folks behind Bowery Boogie, Ephemeral New York and Lost City. I can't say exactly how many people showed up -- maybe thirty or forty? -- but it was a decent turnout, and made for a spirited discussion. I have no idea if anyone recorded it, and cameras weren't allowed (although one woman in the front row managed to snap one off before Bryan restrained her). As a result, I don't have much more information about it to share with you (nor, for that matter, can I prove that it actually happened). But take my word for it, it was an interesting experience. I only wish we'd had a bit more time to expound on certain topics in greater detail (and that I didn't come across like such a fatuous, mic-hogging blowhard). Oh well... maybe next time.
