Continuing on from here, inspired by Greenwich Village Daily Photo's continuing entries depicting old 42nd street, I was reminded of some old single sleeves by The Verve (back from before they got mega huge over here with "Bittersweet Symphony"). From their 1995 single, "History" (this was back in era when British labels released two separate versions of a single, appended with altered cover art and different b-sides, luring in the dollars of fanboy completists like myself), here we see the Verve lads loitering about on the Deuce during its arty transition period between sleazy-crimey pornography hotbed and glitzy tourist trap.
