Sea Bacon?

A good friend of mine just launched his first foray into the treacherous waters of the blogosphere. A man of many diverse talents, John has started up a weblog centered around his cooking exploits for his family. Were I to undertake a such a challenge, I dare say I'd hardly be able to get past the first entry, being that my cooking skills are deplorably negligible at best. In any case, John's blog is informative and entertaining. Thrill as he ruminates on the Buddhist ramifications of dish-washing. Gasp as he brazenly feeds his own children a dubious creation dubbed, somewhat worryingly,  "Sea Bacon!".
