Just spotted this item on Vanishing New York and felt compelled to share it here. Evidently, one of last remaining identifying fixtures of the old East Village is doomed. The fabled toy tower that sprouts out of the public garden just south of 6th Street on Avenue B has been declared "unsafe." Read all about it on Jeremiah's page.
