Staying on the Devo tip for a moment, check out this new Happy Meal toy surprise, incongruously emblazoned with both the noxious "American Idol" logo and some headgear which looks unmistakably like Devo's signature energy dome (those things the deplorably misinformed refer to as "flower pot hats"). Think Devo were consulted before hand? Don't be silly. Once again, Devo get ripped off (though that still doesn't explain why I practically had to take out a mortgage on my apartment to pay for tickets to see them in June). Read the full sob story here.
Frankly, I'm less offended by the McDonald's connection than I am by the "American Idol" branding.
