In any case, over the past several years -- as we all know -- the expanse of Astor Place has been corrupted by what I would consider rampant development, and as has been long-rumored, the upheaval is now poised to get another radical uptick.
EV Grieve passed on a report from Curbed earlier today. Basically, we are poised on the precipice of a "2-year reconstruction project" which will essentialy render what's left of Astor Place into yet another unrecognizable and strenuously characterless office park.
