I spotted this story on Slate this morning and found it intriguing. And I predicted as much back in April.
New York—with major new towers in Lower Manhattan, Midtown, and Brooklyn on hold—has at least 30 sites where work has stopped.

you were pretty prescient about the increasing ubiquity of bank branches in Manhattan also, I didn't see anyone else complaining about that at the time. now it's crystal clear that not only were they pushing more interesting tenants out, but they were basically doing it with imaginary money.
