I actually got a little choked up this morning when I learned that The Peeler Man had passed away. New York City loses another character. We shall not see his like again. Respect.

I feel like I just saw him as recently as October in midtown??
Still sad nonetheless.

I am so glad I have one of his peelers. My son bought it one afternoon while strolling around with his friends. It is very telling when a 13 year old spends $5 out of his $10 on a peeler. Every now and then I can convince him to peel something for me.

Yeah, we bought one from the great man too, and Peg swears by the thing. We bought a couple more and gave them out as presents.
Ron Asheton, Patrick "Prisoner" MacGoohan, Ricardo Monalban, Peeler Man and Lux Motherfucking Interior all dead. Screw 2009.
