    The website of Glen E. Friedman. Renowned for both his work with musicians like Fugazi, Minor Threat, Public Enemy, the Beastie Boys, Slayer (and many, many more) as well as his groundbreaking documentation of the burgeoning skateboard phenomenon in the late `70's, Glen has been privvy to (and has summarily captured on film) some of the coolest stuff ever. He's also an incredibly insightful and nice guy to boot.

    Allan Tannenbaum is a local photographer who has been everywhere and shot everything, from members of Blondie hanging out at the Mudd Club through the collapsing towers of the World Trade Center on September 11th. You could spend hours on this site, and I have.

Let's Raise Our Standards, Shall We?

Icon Look, I love the Sundance Channel. I think their programs are great. And I love their 'Iconoclasts' series especially, but riddle me this, Batman: On WHAT FREAKIN' PLANET can Cameron Diaz be legitimately considered an 'iconoclast'? Ooh yeah -- pretty blonde girl with a nice figure becomes major Hollywood star. Yeah, she really bucked the system there, didn't she. A real trailblazer.

Do give me one break.

agreed, this is pure ratings fluff. but i like the concept of the show and it could be interesting if they took some chances. my choice? Iggy Pop and Harvey Keitel. Alex, who would you like to see?

Maybe she is a literal iconoclast, burning holy effigies, paintings, claptrap and the like. I'd respect her more if this were true.

You reach a certain level of fame, and the media can stamp you with any title they want. Half these celebrities barely graduated high school and they get "honorary degrees" from a million renowned colleges and universities.
