So, let me get this straight. They close and gut The Cedar Tavern – a beloved watering hole rife with character and cultural significance -- to build this ugly tower of bland architectural dung? The community – nay, the city -- loses one of its storied landmarks so that a comparatively tiny handful of avaricious choads can pay invariably far too much money to live in an ugly brick shithouse?
I'm disgusted.
UGH! I can't even walk along this stretch of University anymore. I had so many great weekend afternoons in here with Bernie or Mike behind the bar.
And the history of the place! What a treasure.
It's criminal what happened to it. Does the city really need more $$$$ condos/apartments?
